Get Started with your PM OS

You've purchased Personal PM OS — here's how to get it set up and running in less than 10 minutes.

When to use this

  • You just paid for Personal PM OS and want to start using it
  • You're installing on a new machine
  • You came back to mySecond and need a refresher on getting connected

Setup

  1. Complete the onboarding chat in mySecond onboarding. This builds your first draft of context files — company, product, personas, goals, and competitors.
  2. Install Claude Code Desktop on your machine if you don't already have it.
  3. Create a new empty folder on your machine for your PM OS (e.g., Company Name PM OS).
  4. Open Claude Code in that folder.
  5. Back in mySecond, copy the install command we generated for you. It starts with npm install -g and includes a key unique to your account.
  6. Paste it into Claude Code and let it run. This installs your PM OS — about 60 seconds.
  7. Get started in Claude Code with your first prompt. Try /prd-generator or use enhance-context to keep imprving your context files.

How it works

Once installed, Claude has everything it needs to understand your company, product, users, goals, and competitors — combined with all the skills, workflows, and subagents that come with Personal PM OS. You can return to mySecond anytime to improve your context files and review the outputs your PM OS produces.
