Run your first skill — see your context in action

Once your context is set up and your PM OS is installed, run a skill to see how Claude combines your context with PM best practices.

When to use this

  • You just finished installing Personal PM OS and want to confirm it's working
  • You want to see how your context files change the quality of skill outputs
  • You're picking a starting point and want a low-stakes first run

Setup

  1. Open Claude Code in your PM OS folder.
  2. Run /pm-os:prd-generator and give it a feature or idea you're thinking about.
  3. Let the skill use your context files — company, product, personas, goals, and competitors — to shape the PRD.
  4. Review the output in Claude Code. You'll see it reflect your business, your users, and your goals — not generic PM advice.
  5. Go to mySecond and open the specs folder in your outputs section to see the saved PRD.

How it works

Skills in Personal PM OS read your context files before they generate anything. When you run /pm-os:prd-generator, it pulls in what Claude knows about your company, product, personas, goals, and competitors — then combines that with the PRD framework built into the skill. The result is stronger outputs than you'll get from tools without your context. Every output your PM OS produces is saved back to mySecond, where you can browse it later in the outputs section organized by activity (specs, discovery, strategy, launches).
