Set up your context — teach Claude your company with /welcome
Your context files are how Claude knows your company, product, users, goals, and competitors. /welcome builds the first draft for you.
When to use this
- You just connected Claude Code and want to set up your context
- You want to know what context files are and why they matter
- Your context is thin and you want to make it better
Setup
- Open Claude Code in your PM OS folder and run
/welcome. - Give it your website URL. Claude reads the site and drafts your company, product, personas, and competitors files.
- Review the drafts and correct anything that's off.
- Answer the three goal questions. Claude writes your goals file.
- Check your Context Health score in mySecond — it shows how complete your context is.
How it works
/welcome creates five context files: company, product, personas, competitors, and goals. Every skill reads them before it writes anything, so outputs match your business instead of generic PM advice.
Keep improving them over time. Edit them in the mySecond Files tab, or run /enhance-context in Claude Code to fold in documents like research decks and strategy memos. Better context makes every skill's output sharper.
